Class of 2017 Presents William C. Friday Award to UNC President Emeritus Tom Ross

North Carolina State University’s Park Scholarships Class of 2017 presented the 18th annual William C. Friday Award to Thomas W. Ross, President of the Volcker Alliance and President Emeritus of the 17-campus University of North Carolina, on Monday, February 27 at 5:30 pm in NC State’s Hunt Library Duke Energy Hall. Immediately following the award presentation, Ross delivered a lecture addressing his recent work on nonpartisan redistricting.

Park Scholars Host Inaugural Gerald H. Elkan Distinguished Lecture in Science and Society Featuring Marc Edwards

North Carolina State University’s Park Scholarships Class of 2019 hosted the program’s inaugural Gerald H. Elkan Distinguished Lecture in Science and Society, featuring MacArthur Fellow and water quality engineer Dr. Marc Edwards, on Tuesday, March 21 from 5:30-6:30 pm. The lecture, entitled “Truth Seeking by the Lights of Perverted Science: Exposing the Flint Water Disaster,” was held in the Hunt Library Duke Energy Hall, and a reception immediately followed.
