Assistant Director, Communications

Full-Time, Permanent

The Assistant Director, Communications leads the strategic development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and communications plan that supports the Park Scholarships mission. This person works collaboratively with the Assistant Director, Development to grow philanthropic support, with the Assistant Director, Recruiting and Selection to communicate with prospective students, the Associate Director, Enrichment to promote program activities, and with all Park Scholarships staff to lead the production of communications program-wide.

Associate Director, Enrichment

Full-Time, Permanent

The Associate Director, Enrichment is responsible for planning and executing student enrichment activities, and will also assist with selection and administrative duties. Travel is required to sites across North Carolina and the United States. Some night and weekend work may be required. Responsibilities may include overseeing all logistics, student committee advising, and content planning for four annual student trips; administering Park Enrichment Grants (PEG); coordinating courses that incorporate all Park Scholar activities; advising the student committees organizing the Gerald H. Elkan Lecture for Science and Society and the William C. Friday Award; and supervising a half-time graduate assistant.

Assistant Director, Recruiting and Selection

Full-Time, Permanent

The Assistant Director, Recruiting and Selection will have major responsibilities executing the recruitment and selection of diverse scholars and will develop and implement strategic plans to promote the program in North Carolina and beyond. In addition to leading key Park Scholarships recruitment activities, this person will assist in the administration of the Park Scholarships application and selection processes.

Business Services Coordinator

Full-Time, Permanent

The Business Services Coordinator will administer and coordinate a variety of business, administrative, and fiscal functions for the department. The work location is in person at NC State; preferred scheduled hours of work are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday with an hour for lunch. Responsibilities may include overseeing day-to-day financial management, handling personnel administration, managing office spaces and operations, providing general program support, and serving as assistant to the program director.
