Selection Committee

A network of dedicated and talented NC State alumni, faculty and friends participate in our application and selection process. The Selection Committee assists with application reviews, interviewing and outreach.

Regional Selection Committees

There are 13 Regional Selection Committees across North Carolina and the United States, each chaired by a veteran Regional Selection Committee member (see below). A strength of using regional committees is that applicants are first reviewed by people who are familiar with their communities and schools. About 350-425 Selection Committee members annually review applications and interview semifinalists advancing from their regions.
