Final Selection Activities: Preparation
1. Submit Your Transcript
Please bring an official, sealed transcript (signed across the envelope flap) that includes your fall grades. Give the envelope to your interviewers on Saturday even if you are not specifically asked for it.
2. Pack
- Professional and casual attire
- Refillable water bottle
- Umbrella or other rain gear
Finalists: Professional attire is appropriate for Friday evening and Saturday morning/afternoon. Casual attire is appropriate at all other times.
Families/Guests: Professional attire is appropriate for Friday evening. Casual attire is appropriate at all other times.
Weather: Raleigh’s average February temperature is in the 50s during the day and the 30s at night; however, the weather can be unpredictable at this time of year. We recommend that you check the forecast prior to your departure and bring an umbrella.

Connecting to NC State Wifi
To log in:
- Change your SSID to: ncsu-guest
- Open a Web browser to be redirected to: Guest Wireless Access
- Click on the I Agree button.
For guests already enrolled in eduroam at a participating organization:
- No login is needed.
- Connection to eduroam should be automatic.
- If it isn’t, connect to ncsu-guest

Need-Based Travel Stipends
The Park Scholarships office has limited funds available to assist candidates with travel who could not otherwise attend Final Selection Activities. Please email parkscholars@ncsu.edu as soon as possible, but no later than 8 a.m. ET, on Monday, January 29, detailing specific items requested with estimated costs for each and the total amount requested. Requests will have no bearing on the selection process.
