NC State Day of Giving 2024
Day of Giving 2024 was a success! Here are some highlights:
- Park Scholarships received 732.
- Gifts totaled $229,000.
- We successfully unlocked the 700 gifts challenge, receiving an additional $10,825 from the Regional Selection Committee Leaders/Elects.
- At least five alumni from each cohort made a gift! This unlocked a $2,700 challenge gift from the Park Alumni Society Development Committee and Jessica Modeen.
- The Class of 2027 had the highest percentage of gifts from current scholars at 58%, and the Class of 2010 had the the highest percentage of alumni giving at 38% of the cohort making a gift.
- We won the Student Giving Hour AND the First Donor giving hour. This means we had the most students and the most first-time donors give in the hour. We received an extra $2,000 in funds for Park!
- Unfortunately, our #BarkScholars didn’t win the #PackPets challenge, but we still loved seeing all those furry (and some not-so-furry!) faces.
2024 Hourly Challenges
Alumni Hour
This year, our alumni hour will be from 10-11 a.m. The department or college that receives the most alumni gifts within the hour will receive an additional $1,000 in challenge money from the University.
Young Alumni Hour
If you graduated in the last 10 years (graduates from any classes between 2013 and 2023), gifts made during the hours of 8 and 9 p.m. will help us get a $1,000 challenge gift!
Current Students Hour
11 a.m. is the student gifts hour. Last year we won this challenge and we don’t want to give up the crown!
Parent Hour
This year, the Most Parent Gifts Challenge will be from 7-8 p.m. The department or college that receives the most parent gifts within the hour will receive an additional $1,000 in challenge money from the university.
First-Time Donor
Never given to NC State before? Make your first gift between 12 and 1 p.m. to put Park Scholarships in the running for an extra $1,000.
Most Friend Gifts
We have a generous community beyond just our students, alumni and families. Because of this, NC State will be awarding an additional $1,000 to the area that receives the most gifts between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. from friends of the Pack.
2024 Matches
If at least 5 people from every graduating class (2000-2023) donate, the Park Alumni Philanthropy Committee and Jessica Modeen will donate an extra $2,700.
The Regional Selection Committee leaders have challenged us to reach 700 gifts! If we receive 700 gifts, they will give $10,825 to support the Park Scholars. Help us unlock this challenge by giving to Park Scholarships at any point in the day.
Parent Giving Challenge- Two anonymous Park parents will dollar for dollar match all Park parent donations up to $50,000.
