Final Selection Activities: Parent/Guest Schedule

Finalists may bring up to two parents, guardians or other adult guests to Final Selection Activities. All parent/guest activities are optional.
Morning | College Activities (optional)
- Each of NC State’s colleges will host their own activities for Park Finalists. College Activities »
- Attire: Casual
1:30-3 p.m. | Walking Tour of Main Campus (optional)
- Location: Talley Student Union, 2610 Cates Avenue, Central Campus – tours will depart from the Technology Tower (exterior elevator on Dunn Avenue side of Talley)
- Location Details: The Technology Tower is close to the main entrance of Reynolds Coliseum at 2411 Dunn Ave. It is a 5 minute walk from the Coliseum Parking Deck.
- Parking: Coliseum Parking Deck, 201 Jeter Drive, Central Campus
- Attire: Casual
- This tour includes viewing the Honors Village and the Park Commons in Peele Hall.
4:45-5:45 p.m. | Park Scholarships Reception (optional)
- Location: State Ballroom, Talley Student Union (3rd Floor), 2610 Cates Avenue, Central Campus
- Location Details: Nearest corner – Cates Avenue and Morrill Drive, 5-minute walk from the Coliseum Parking Deck
- Parking: Coliseum Parking Deck, 201 Jeter Drive, Central Campus
- Attire: Business professional
Come when you like within this time. During the reception, take advantage the following activities:
- Headshots: All Finalists will get their headshots taken.
- Park Enrichment Grant Posters: Converse with current Park Scholars about their exciting enrichment activities – from traveling abroad to research ventures.
- Refreshments: Hors d’oeuvres and drinks are located at self-serve stations.
- Mix and mingle: Our esteemed guests are eager to connect with Finalists and families.
- Resource Fair: Learn about some of the many resources NC State has to offer. Pending availability, attendees include:

This event is a seated, plated dinner with assigned seats. Finalists may bring up to two guests. Those guests must be listed on the RSVP form.

8:30-9:15 a.m. | Drop-Off Finalist for Final Selection Activities
- Location: James B. Hunt Jr. Library, 1070 Partners Way, Centennial Campus
- Notes:
- Drop-off is in front of the library, across from Poulton Deck. Park Scholars will be outside to help direct traffic.
- Check in begins at 8:30 a.m. Finalists are invited to attend an optional breakfast that begins at 9:00 a.m.
- Please drop off no later than 9:15 a.m. The Finalist Welcome session (essential for Finalists) begins promptly at 9:30 a.m.
9:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. | Parent/Family Activities: Talley Student Center (optional)
- Location: Talley Student Union (3rd Floor), State Ballroom, 2610 Cates Avenue, Central Campus
- Location Details: Nearest corner – Cates Avenue and Morrill Drive, 5 minute walk from the Coliseum Parking Deck
- Parking: Coliseum Parking Deck, 201 Jeter Drive, Central Campus
9:45-10 a.m. – Mingle with other families before the formal program begins
10 a.m. – 3:40 p.m. | Parent and Family Information Session
- Hear from the Park Scholarships director, current Park scholars and alumni, Park parents and NC State Faculty.
- Grab complimentary coffee from 321 Coffee during our morning session.
- Enjoy a lunch and conversation with NC State students, parents, faculty and staff.
- Learn in-depth from NC State departments and services such as:
- Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid
- Office of Parents and Families Services
- University Honors Program
- Campus Safety
- Counseling Center
4:40 p.m. | Pick up Finalists from Final Selection Activities
- Location: Duke Energy Hall (2nd Floor), James B. Hunt Jr. Library, 1070 Partners Way, Centennial Campus
*321 Coffee was founded in 2017 by Lindsay Wrege and Michael Evans, Park Scholars in the class of 2021. Employing over 50 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, 321 Coffee is dedicated to demonstrating the value of an inclusive business model.
