From the Director, Eva Feucht
Though this year continues to present challenges, I’m inspired by the resilience and character demonstrated by the Park Scholars. In late August, the Class of 2021 hosted William C. Friday Award recipient Bree Newsome Bass for an important conversation about racial injustice and community activism. Preparations are underway for the Class of 2022 to host Thomas Hager on Oct. 1 for this year’s Elkan Lecture. The Park Philanthropy Council is planning events to bring our community together during NC State’s special fall Day of Giving. Meanwhile, our scholars discovered new ways to build and strengthen connections remotely during Freshman and Senior Retreat.

As we celebrate our 25th year, we are excited to bring you opportunities for connection and inspiration. We’ll be updating this page throughout the year with videos, event information, and articles. We are also excited this year to recruit the Park Class of 2025. Reaching a diverse cohort of talented scholars starts with spreading the application far and wide. This year, will not be required. We appreciate your support in encouraging exceptional high school seniors to apply by Nov. 1.
