North Carolina State University’s Park Scholarships Class of 2015 will present the 16th annual William C. Friday Award to behavioral economist Dan Ariely. The award presentation is open to the public and will be held on Monday, November 17 at 5:30 PM at NC State’s Talley Student Union.

Class of 2014 to Present William C. Friday Award to Red Hat CEO Jim Whitehurst

North Carolina State University’s Park Scholarships Class of 2014 will present the 15th annual William C. Friday Award to Mr. Jim Whitehurst, president and CEO of Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source enterprise software. The award will be presented on Wednesday, March 26 from 5:30-7:00 PM in the Hunt Auditorium of the James B. Hunt, Jr. Library on Centennial Campus at North Carolina State University.

Park Scholar Receives Hunger Leadership Award

John Coggin ’09 has received the first President William Jefferson Clinton Hunger Leadership Award. John was presented the award on January 26, 2009 at an NC State Millennium Seminar. President Clinton spoke on ”The Way Forward,” discussing the challenges facing the new presidential administration and issuing a call for a ”how to” generation to tackle problems such as world hunger. Park Scholar Selected for Fulbright Award

Donald Katz was offered a Fulbright grant for the 2007 year. On May 16, NC State’s Belltower was lit red in honor of Donny Katz (2007). Donny, who hails from Freehold, NJ, studied Civil Engineering and received the senior award for academic achievement in that field.
